Deratization
Deratization – a set of measures to destroy harmful rodents. The main task of deratization is to destroy rodents in a given object or natural outbreak as quickly as possible and to prevent their reappearance.
According to its goals and objectives, deratization can be systematic and one-time.
In order to conduct quality deratization, it is necessary to know very well the habits of pests, the social structure of the community and their way of reproduction and migration. All this is laid down in Integrated Pest Management against rodents.
Technology of detarization
The technology of treatment depends on the specifics of the object. Usually, a deratization plan is prepared, as well as a deratization scheme, on which the deratization points are indicated. This plan is determined by the paths along which rodents /mice and rats/ gain access. Deratization barriers are prepared, and rodenticide baits are placed to limit access. The amount of the preparation consumed by the rodents is monitored, their paths are traced, etc. The diagnosis and control of rodents /mice and rats/ is often a lengthy process, because in most cases it is more than one specimen. And until all of them are cleared and a barrier against re-infestation is created, the fight is not considered over. At-risk sites, it is necessary to permanently carry out deratization activities.
Scope
To successfully carry out deratization, it must be carried out everywhere on all sites at the same time. Otherwise, rodents from sites where deratization has not been carried out will move to the deratized sites and in a short time will restore the population in them again.
Depending on the location and type of site, the use of rodenticides with different applications is required. The most important thing in combating rodents /mice and rats/ is to strictly follow the necessary technology for successful deratization, to prevent the risk of re-invasion and to carry out regular preventive measures.
